Facets

Our work can get chaotic - the tools shouldn't.

Modern productivity tools try to solve every possible problem a team might have. The result is usually too many layers between you and your work.

Facets is purposely not that.

It's built for people who switch contexts, juggle projects, or just want all their stuff in one place. Fold your work into the shape you want it to take.

The app runs locally. You don't need to sign up to use it. If you use cloud sync, everything is end-to-end encrypted.

No lock-in. No data harvesting.

I'm just one guy. I don't want your data - and I don't want you handing it over to big tech either. I built this because it's how I want to work. My guess is, once you try it, you might too.

The app is currently in closed alpha while I iron out the initial bugs. If you want access to the public beta, drop your email below - I'll let you know when it's ready.

I'm aiming for sometime between June 15 and July 15.

The Story

My name is Eshaan. I'm a blind jazz musician.

I was paying $12/month for Dropbox, $5/month for Fantastical, $8/month for Todoist - and still didn't have accessible, high-quality collaboration tools that actually worked for me.

So I built my own.

At first, it was just a bunch of open-source tools running on my private network. Over time, that turned into a question: what if all of this could live in one coherent system?

That's where Facets came from.

I've had a lot of fun building it. I also think tools like this need to exist - the more our work moves into the cloud and into AI systems, the less of it actually belongs to us.

Facets is the tool I wish existed so I didn't have to build it.
